Enhancing Written Communication in the Secondary Classroom
Overview
The ability to communicate well is essential in life. Within every subject we want our students to be able to debate, write, and read with assurance and authority. Therefore, the purpose of this programme is to look at how teachers support students to effectively plan, write and reflect on their work.
The strategies, resources and ideas that are explored within this programme will improve the development of writing for all students at all key stages in a secondary school.
This programme helps practitioners and school leaders to;
- Reflect on their own school’s culture of writing across all key stages
- Implement a number of strategies which will help enhance the quality of writing
